Description

This aquatic plant has been imported from Asia since 2005 under the name Blyxa vietii, but it is now identified as Nechamandra alternifolia subsp. angustifolia. It features linear leaves that are 3-5 cm long and have finely serrated margins. The leaves are narrower than those of Blyxa japonica, measuring 0.7-2 mm in width. This plant produces long upright stems and runners from its stem base, similar to Vallisneria runners.
